Enough working with 2011 things and version – 2011 is near, so try new things. If you are still using old Windows Live Messenger or Windows Live Writer, get upgraded to Windows 2011 Essentials including latest Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Writer and much more.

Visit the official Microsoft website for Windows Essentials 2011. As you open the website, hit Download Now button visible at the heart of page.  Save the file on your hard drive and run it for the installation. You will see following small window ensuring that the setup has started installing it on your computer.

As soon it finishes, another window is opened asking you what do you want to install from the package. 

You can go for installing the complete package including Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Mail, and many more or if you want to install few of them or any one, hit the second option Choose the program you want to install. It’ll open following window in front of you.

Select the programs which you want to install from the above mentioned screen and hit Install. It’ll open another window in front of you, showing the installation progress and status.

Once it completes, another small window opens stating that installation is complete and hit Close to start using Windows Live Messenger (If you have not selected to install Windows Live Messenger service in Essentials, the display message surely won’t be like this : )

After you are done with installation, you can access Windows Essentials 2011 services from your computer. If it is your first time, and you are unable to find the installation location access these at this local address in your computer.

C:\Program Files\Windows Live
